The girl behind the bus.
Born in Michigan, I spent my teenage years and most of my adult life on the West Coast, where I fell in love with the laid-back energy of casual living—the sunshine, the little shops, the beach, and the feeling that there’s always somewhere new to explore.
After traveling all over the country and eventually finding my way back to Michigan, I wanted to bring a little bit of that West Coast feeling home with me.
That idea became Coast.
I wanted to create a fun, unexpected place to shop— And when the 1971 VW Bus came along, it felt like the perfect home for it all. A Facebook Marketplace find quickly turned into an idea and with the help of a few special people, it became reality!
But it was also about creating a life that works for me. I wanted a creative space where I could build something of my own while still having the flexibility to be present for my busy family.
So it became a little bit of everything I love: creativity, coastal style, nostalgia, family, and a whole lot of Lake Michigan.
